Our #readpaintcook journey & Adventures in France Series continues with our seventh week all about the Palace of Versailles, the Hall of Mirrors and gardens, plus King Louis XIV "The Sun King" and Marie Antoinette. Dive deeper into the history of this richly designed palace, through art appriection, and so much more!

There are hands on art projects like our Hot Air Ballon Art Project inspired by the story "Hot Air: The (Mostly) True Story of the First Hot-Air Balloon Ride" by Marjorie Priceman that occurred at the Palace of Versailles in the 1700's, and a yummy recipe of French Macarons! You have been waiting for this recipe! Definitely a little more advanced recipe, but so worth it! I have also included details on another garden and Chateau De Chenonceau and the River Cher, an even older garden than Versailles, which I couldn't resist to include! Place your stamps in your passport after you have completed each project, for fun rewards and motivation along the way!
