Bonjour! Our Adventures in France Series for Level 1 continues with our fifth and final week all about the Artist Pablo Picasso, featuring a selection of art appreciation, including the series of “Sylvette" the girl with the pony tail, plus original coloring pages inspired by Picasso's art.
Create your own abstract self portraits and your own series of art. We also have an additional spotlight of Picasso-Inspired Contemporary Artist Sol Felpeto, from Spain who paints abstract cats, in celebration of Picasso's cat Minou, which also links back to one of our featured children's books. Enjoy two French recipes that also relate back to the lesson: Abstract French Meringues and Animal Shaped French Sable Cookies. Place your stamps in your passport after you complete each project, for fun rewards and motivation along the way!
